One time, long ago, you disclosed how we can search topics (not threads) on the EO. I'm told it can't be done, but Profe, wise man that he is, says you know the trick. Please divulge.

Actually, roadsmith I was accused of being able to search topics and selfishly refusing to disclose how it might be done, to the detriment of Ebay sellers. Someone went berserk and posted that charge here and on Ebay Outlook. I, of course denied that accusation because other than Google, I don't know how to search topics on Vendio. The fact that some people still believe that is a good illustration of the power of suggestion.

At that time I did share the searches that I use occasionally such as the one that I use to find threads based on an approximate date and another one that was posted by sneakydave on another board in which you can search posters recent comments on the RT, Ebay Outlook and related boards.

Have you tried Google advanced search? With that you can use key words and search within a site or domain such as vendio.com. For example if you are looking for information about Paypal being discussed on vendio boards you can find quite a few results.

It's also a good way to avoid a lot of nonsense that a simple google search provides. I use it a lot to search topics on literature or psychology and use .edu or a school such as Stanford.edu for example.

I could have sworn you had some magic string you used and posted it Helen. Power of suggestion is right.

I'd sure like a good cuppa, but gave up caffeine here about 6 months ago.

That was probably the string to change the one year search to go way back. {scroll to the bottom of the page).

I'm working on eliminating salt but coffee, I must have.

I was surprised at how easy it was to kick caffeine. I went out and bought some good whole bean decaf, something I'd derided and sneered at for years. "unleaded coffee is for weenies"...Three days of morning headaches and that was it. I'll still have a real cup in the afternoon now and then, but only rarely and only if I'm really bushed and need a pick me up. Restraint and moderation is something I'm learning late in life.

Aw, Helen, I was in such awe of your magical like powers. What a let down this all is.

That's okay, Prof. We still believe in your magical powers.

Hey, with the Lehman fall-out think we can officially say the repugs ruined the economy or is the economy still on the rise as they say? We all know who "they" is.

That's wonderful, Cheryl! I've often thought about him but haven't had a chance to ask.
