I've really been good and havent't overindulged in eating, drinking or excess spending. I haven't even called a winger a moron. So imagine my surprise when I wasn't able to log in to Vendio!
My first thought of course was that I had been banished by a moderator who possibly burned her turkey.
But a bright idea just occurred to me. I've been fiddling with my security settings so I reset those from high to medium and now I can log in with a reset password. I suppose the problem was caused by a blocked cookie rather than a burned turkey.

I have been taking care of my 6 month old granddaughter, 4 days this week. I can't get a thing done besides play with her!

We're being more careful with gifts this year, too. And I'm busily trying to get the rest of my celebrity Christmas cards listed and out of my way, at last. They continue to sell, most of them, except for names no one recognizes, like Harry Brand and Martin Berman. It's amazing to me how many collectors there are out there who are in fan clubs. I guess it shouldn't, but it does.
And, give me your advice. There's a set of 12 place settings plus all the serving pieces, of china marked Noritake Made in Occupied Japan. The thrift is selling it all for $125, and I can't decide whether to take a chance (with the very careful packing involved later on), or offer less, or just let it go. I'd sell it by the serving piece, and then maybe 2 plates etc. at a time. But do I really want to???

gotcha beat cash...I had 22 here, most of them arrived tuesday night and wednesday and half of them stayed till saturday, now it's just the girls and their mother left and they are leaving early in the morning. I've had most of yesterday and today to get some work out of them worming and vaccinating animals I haven't had time to get to. Our numbers are actually down. Last year I started sending out lists to the notorious freeloaders who always show up telling them what I expected them to bring. Their lists included stuff like single barrel bourbon and cases of Guinness and other pricey items. You shoulda heard the excuses! This year I was able to whittle it down to my siblings and their kids and grandkids along with a few cousins who don't mind chipping in....

We celebrated Thanksgiving early and planned to spend the long holiday weekend at the beach. It turns out that we spent it at the hospital. Thank God for the dedicated people who worked on the holiday to make things easier for folks like us, my Mom's doctor who had the holiday off but came in and scrubbed up to oversee that everything went right - to the nurses, cafeteria workers (who put up an elegant feast) and shuttle bus drivers who got us to the parking lot safely. And thank God that everything went smoothly and Mom is home now - where she should be!

I've got an old hammer you can have for shipping, and a broken high-lift jack, 5 bucks plus the freight. It weighs about 25 lbs. Busted milking machine too, but it's only got fittings for sheep, not cows. We milk the cows by hand, they're spoilt....The Ball-and-Chain might part with her old chain saw, but it won't come cheap.

Profe, sounds like you could use a Rotolactor. In 1938 one of these babies could milk 53 cows in 10-1/2 minutes.

Cool picture pixiamom! That'd be overkill here though, I just keep a couple of small Jersey cows for family and neighbor's milk supply.
