Instead of gracing charities, Palin's much touted $180k wardrobe is sitting in plastic trash bags at the RNC HQ. I have similar bags waiting to be dropped off at my local Goodwill, but mine are not this year's fashions, most aren't even from this decade. I'm assuming the clothes, like the candidate, will lose their luster and depreciate in value in the upcoming months. Why hold back from charities who are in desperate need for money? I guess we should be thankful they aren't being hocked on eBay by Palin's money-hungry relations. Edited to add: before we attribute the value to 180K, Palin's niece is hocking a $100 pair of shoes for starting bid of $1200, 10 bids with unknown reserve not met.

These "Red Naughty Monkey Heels" might cause Veblen to reconsider his thought that women's dress is designed to exhibit the wearer's incapacity for all "vulgarly" productive employment.

Republican donors paid that money if I'm not mistaken...sucks to be them. Even if tax dollars paid for those clothes, it's chump change to get rid of that poseur. The woman and her hillbilly family are a briefly entertaining footnote, nothing more.

Hillbilly is right. I hear she's trying to negotiate an $11 million book deal. I don't think she realizes what a flash in the pan on the national level she was. Her star is already waning. She's relegated to the Dan Quail sidelines. Sarah, we are so over you.

She's not looking very well these days. Many people in Alaska are speaking out now and I think she's going to have some rough days ahead. She almost looks anorexic in this pic on her site.

Wow, kiara, what's up with that jacket she's wearing? No wonder the GOP had to dress her. I almost feel sorry for her. Almost, not quite.
