Humph. Call my bluff, will ya? Ok...heres the ponderment:

Youre at gathering, where you have gone for months, maybe even years. The regular folks you chatted with all this time are there, but they are glowering at each other, or they all refuse to speak and its deathly quiet. What would you do? Anything? Or nothing at all?

I would tell a joke and hope peace breaks out instead of war.

maybe you oughta ride your Harley around the round table a few times that will get people to come out of hiding

have a nice evening maui

Im running out of gas, enchanted. Took months for folks to mosey in here when I rode it before, probably to see the goofy old chick on the harley with a sarong aflappin. Wish Shadd would come in...this place needs his stories of vinnie no neck.

Let's see I might stand in the middle of the room and laugh uncontrollably or stand
naked in the middle of the room and have the others laugh uncontrollably.
And Maui I never thought of you as a goofy ole chick on a harley, but as a friendly
person with one of the sweetest smiles

Okay I'm getting a bad feeling from this Harley and Sarong thing. Could be hazerdous.
Remember the dancer whose scarf got caught up in the wheels of her Bently and strangled her? Forgot her name it was just something our dance teacher told us years ago.

Well, I guess that would be the normal fare for our family gatherings, so I would just make a beeline for the food and wait it out until we've spent a "reasonable" amount of time being social.

Also, I would make sure that I linger in doorways, you hear the BEST talk that way, sometimes even about yourself!

Peachy,

Your family gatherings that way too? Dread them.

If I was at the local watering hole and everyone was glowering at each other I guess I would probably be asking what's going on?

And then wait for the fireworks to start but my husband would drag me out before I saw something good. Durn it.

Thanks for the ponderments, Maui. I missed them.

mauimoods - sounds like my family gathering
I'll just either sell tickets or threaten to take them off the will if they don't behave

I'd turn on the CD player and start dancing. Music always soothes my soul. If no once else starts dancing, then I'd start singing....that'll clear the room/house.
