Reminds me of Richard Nixon.

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/politics/AP-Bush.html

excert: Bush also had terse remarks on President Clinton's comment in a Chicago speech that Bush won the White House because the Republicans stopped the vote counting in Florida.

"When they counted the ballots in the state of Florida, I won. And he can say what he wants to say, but January the 20th I'll be honored to be sworn in as president," Bush said. .....with great humility, of course.

He's not as smart as Nixon...

You know what *really* bugs me about Dubya, The Man? If I was that stupid, I wouldn't have the nerve to run for mayor of Greater Tuna; where's the man's sense of healthy shame?

Too dumb to know better.

Remember all the outcry when Quayle mispelled "potato" (& was corrected by a kid, IIRC, in the third grade)? Imagine the national embarrassment we're going to be going through for the next four years with a *President* who not only can't spell, but also doesn't know much about geography, world affairs, etc.? Leno & other comedians are going to have a great time, but...

Exactly, Bunnicula. He's an embarrassment. And he's going to go around the world as the chief executive of the most powerful country in the world. I shudder -- and I really mean that -- when I envision him attempting to calm the ever-increasing hostilities in the Middle East... and that's just *one* example.

On the bright side, for the first time the vice-president may be a significant factor in the nation's affairs...if his heart holds out.
