Do you guys get the Sunday Night Blues thinking about going to work on Monday morning? Even though I like my job, and don't mind working, I still get the "end of the weekend Sunday Night Blues". Anyone else care to commiserate?

Hi Muriel!

I also get the 'Sunday Night Blues' on Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night, and Thursday night.

Is there a cure?

Yes, the cure is winning the lottery so you never HAVE to get out of bed again. Only if you want to.

Yup! That would work for me. It hasn't happened yet, but I'm still hoping.

Hello Muriel, happy to see you!

My day's off rotate so it doesn't matter to me. This week Thursday will be my Friday and Sunday will be my Monday.

I actually look forward to the end of the weekend. I don't watch all that much TV but I am very fond of the FOX lineup on Sundays; Futurama, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, and Malcolm in the Middle. HGTV also has Extreme Homes on at 8:00 but it competes with the Simpsons so I tape it for later. Any one of these shows may make your day just a little bit easier to endure.

My ideal job would be one where I did whatever I pleased and they paid me handsomely to do so. Let me tell you, it ain't easy finding that job.

Weekends aren't long enough, IMNSHO.

Xardon, I LOVE HGTV. Light, fluffy t.v.! I hate to watch anything serious or depressing at night before bed, especially on Sunday night. So it's HGTV almost every night, except for when I watch Frasier, That 70's Show, Whose Line Is It Anyway, and Will & Grace.

Did you enter the HGTV Dream Home Sweepstakes? Yet another cure for the Sunday night (or Thursday night?) blues. Winning a big brand new home in Maine. Yessiree!

xardon- I love Sunday night television as well. My oldest son got me into the X-Files a few years ago, so that usually caps off my evening and then it's off to bed for the old folks to prepare for the horrible Monday morning "blahs"!!

By the way, Xardon, just between you and me, right before bed I had been looking at your picture with President Clinton. So who did I dream about? William Jefferson Clinton! Geez.

X Files are on Sunday. I love that show. I also watch Malcom in the Middle. I like HGTV too. Right now my favorite show is That 70's Show.
I've been self employed most of my life and usually worked weekends. I never had a job with Sat. And Sun. off.

December3, there was a show on MTV this afternoon about the making of That 70's Show. It was really funny. And did you know that Fez really has an accent? He does! And Kitty wears a wig. It was a great show.

I wish I'd seen it. I used to own the same clothes. My daughter found some old pictures and said "who's the hippie?" I told my Mom to burn them.LOL

I'm in the running for the prize as well, Muriel.

So tell me about the dream. Did you discuss politics?

Fez is a cutie~ but I loooooove Hyde. Maybe that was the type of guy I was attracted to back then! My husband loves it when Chong is on the show... he was a huge Cheech and Chong fan.

Roxw: I love "Leo", too! He's a hoot. I think Kelso is hilarious, but my favorite has got to be Kitty.

Xardon: Well... no... we didn't talk politics. There was something about a cigar or...

i always used to get the Sunday night blues until I started working for myself by selling on Ebay and branching out from there

cured those blues real quick

stusi I don't think the next sopranos season starts until March you might have to wait a bit unless you like the reruns

Oz is a good show but sometimes it's tough to watch all the violence

I hated my last job (and it's the one that put me on disability). But, if you think it's bad after a week-end try two 1/2 months off and then going back.

I worked at the college and was off all summer. The last week before going back I was so depressed I actually cried everytime I thought about it. Now when I feel overwhelmed about doing something or feeling sorry for myself when my illness gets me down. I think about that job, and I'm so happy I'm not there. Makes me feel better instantly!

Enchanted - High Five!! My thoughts exactly. I remember I used to get the Sunday night blues so bad I actually used to get sick. So I too started working for myself and have been so grateful and happy ever since. It completely changed my life. I highly recommend it.

I was a window clerk for the good ol'USPS for 15 years and I had the Sunday Night Blues so bad they started on Sunday morning!

I couldn't drag myself out of bed on Sunday morning and then I couldn't fall asleep Sunday night!

I finally quit last year, but I still haven't figured out what I want to be when I grow up!

Enchanted: You don't know how much I would love doing that. But we have two kids in college and it will be awhile before I can even entertain the idea of quitting my job.
