Does anyone have any idea if you can still buy those kind of socks? You remember the ones that were white with 2 different colors in bands around the tops? My 16 year old son wants some to wear with his long shorts (don't ask). I've looked at the local Wal-Mart and Target but haven't been able to find any.
He wears a size 11 shoe, so they need to be men's size. I've looked online a little bit, but so far no joy.

Try JC Pennys. They sell the ones with and without strips. In 100% cotton as well as a cotton blend. (they work well under boots).

Wow Zazzie, those are exactly it! But, $10 each? Yikes! If they carry them, there have to be others as well. Back to the search...

I didn't even think of Penney's. We have one nearby, so I'll check there. Their online store has them too. My son will be sooooo happy!

I really have been doing other things besides looking for tube socks---these one have stripes--but the same colour--not 2 different coloured stripes

Speaking of socks, remember back in the 60's when we wore knee socks with our skirts to school? And when the elastic would get old, they would fall down all day, so you'd be walking to school and you'd have to stop and pull up your knee socks, and then run ahead to catch up with your friends? What happened to knee socks?
