I am an admitted kids/sweetened/sugar/junk cereal lover. I can eat at a box of Cap'n Crunch Berries like there's no tomorrow! Give me Fruity Pebbles, Super Sugar Crisp or Honeycomb with a gallon of milk in front of my bowl and something good to read anyday over a steak for supper.
Anyway.....I had a favorite cereal as a kid called Quisp - blue box with the Martian on front. Does anyone else remember that if you ate too much of this cereal it made the roof of your mouth raw? I CANNOT find this cereal in my area and would really like to have some! Does anyone know if they have quit making it or is it just not available in my area (central Illinois)?

Boy, I actually recognized that quisp word vaguely in some old memory.
Try this page here:

Better yet just surf around the whole site. Brings back lots of memories. BTW the link they give to order Quisp cereal, the website is not up at the moment but will be later.
Ah, the joys of Saturday morning cartoons with Mighty Mouse, a box of wheat-flavored puffed sugarballs, and permission to wear rumpled, ill-fitting jammies till after lunch. Wow! Some great sugar buzzes back then!<p>

rhondalee, Quaker still makes Quisp (but not Quake). They don't call it Quisp anymore though. It is one of the Quaker economy bagged cereals. I forget the name, but it's some generic title like 'Sweet crunchy disks'. You'll be able to find it in the see-through plastic bags.
I bought it for my 4 year old. We were in the store and I saw the 'Quisp' cereal in the bag...and did a happy dance that I found the old Quisp--of course no one knew what I was talking about.
