While skimming the threads that I missed during vacation, I discovered that KRS had completed his l0,000th post and the old infamous Bubble Wrap thread, still probably my all-time favorite, enjoyed a brief revival. Also fond remembrances of Annie and assorted nostalgic bickerings.

Though I missed this bit of living history, I couldn't let it all pass by with unremarked silence. Here's to the next 10,000, Ken.

Welcome back Dan.

I have to say that for me Ken has been kinda like a boil on my arse. I've picked at it and picked at it. I've put all kinds of crap on it trying to make it go away.... but day in and day out it just sits there aggravating the fool out of me.

I'm so bad.

"Here's to the next 10,000"?

Is that your idea of a joke?
Even my endurance must have a limit.

mybiddness,

It's good to be back, though breaks from time to time are refreshing; they fortify the endurance. As for the boils, just remember the biblical story of Job. As I recall they were one of his tribulations also.

Ken, no, not a joke. Mine are funny.

Dan I liken it to Job as well. But, we each endure what we must.

G'night and it's very good to see a smiling face. "You know who" is on another tear. LOL

I didn't think the cg's allowed us to say You suck... (See other thread) LOL

I don't always agree with Ken, and we have had our issues, but he is one of the BEST reasons to come to AW.

He has educated me probably more then anyone else here ever has.

Besides, when Ken isn't around, I have to watch the news on TV...ugh!

Thanks Ken! Your the Johnny Carson of AW.

If we have to organize a fan club, I'd rather have a Jamesoblivion fan club. But don't tell Lt. Bob I said that.

M* G**dn*ss, (only a general exclamation, void of offense toward any group or individual, real or imagined)

I've missed more in my nearly twenty-four hour absence since I started this thread than in the previous two weeks. Bunnicula has suddenly taken to posting outrageousoff-color remarks which the ever-vigilant Marty and/or Mark has removed in order to protect me from life's harsh realities and an incipient conspiracy may be the underlying explanation for this aberrant behavior. Reading between the lines, the choice of off-color suggests a likely racial bias may figure into one side or the other of the equation. Which further leads me to speculation upon the origin of the termoff-color and whether or not it is politically correct usage. And then the mystery of the disappearing thread and whether or not its being pulled unraveled Michelle's and krs' panties/knickers dilemma, which apparently may have insulted someone.

But the fan club question is much more concrete and easier to follow. Personally, I think that we should all have one, providing such an organization doesn't violate the CGs. In fact, I believe that bobbysoxer has already attempted to organize one for krs and perhaps, toke and others. But so far it's failed to attract much of a following, being in a similar vein to those few posters recently who attempted to import their own following, real or fictional. But speaking generally, I am a fan, though often a silent and unassuming one, of more than a few posters here. To me, it's still the most interesting OAI board around.

Zilvey,

I wouldn't worry about it. We just have to accept our limitations
and enjoy those who can be sharp even when or if they are on edge.

Now, are you going to sing your little sunrise song?

Yes, it's a religious thing, a tenet of reborn again krsism.

1 Corinthians 14:22: Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
