okay--here's the deal. I'll tape all the coverage done on Canada's Discovery channel and you tape all the coverage done on the USA Network and then we'll do a tradsey !!!
I've got a USA mailing address--so you can mail it Media Mail and not have to worry about customs.
The shows are different--the Canadian show focuses on some of the Canadian teams plus some of the other teams--leaders and the laggers---and it is produced by Discovery.ca

Zazzie: I would, but I am supposed to be gone then. However, if this pans out for you, I would buy a copy of the 2 tapes, and happily pay the s/h costs (as long as AW does not make you auction it off).
In the begining, God created the heavens and the earth.

Zazzie: I'd love to, but the VCR has gone to its final resting place (go figure, I've got every other gadget known to man and the one I *need* takes a header).
My dad and I have been hooked on the Eco challenge for *years*! There is just something about sitting under the a/c, on the comfy couch, sipping cokes and watching these people who are either: 1) Totally awesome, or 2) Totally NUTS.
Last week the show 48 Hours did a show on the event (my dad and I drew straws on who would watch it just in case they actually showed who won.....around here, telling who won is a serious offense). I don't know if this show will cover what 48 hours did, but there was one part (at the begining of the race....I think) where I ended up running through the house screaming, "CHEAT!! BIG FAT CHEAT!!". I won't tell you what it was, just in case they do show that part.
I know who won, but it doesn't really matter in these ECO-races---the top finishers are usually far ahead of the pack by the end of the 1st day--but there is lots of unexpected surprises. Many of the experienced racers were not prepared for jungle racing. I love watching the coverage of the people who are just trying to finish as much as I love to watch the winners
I kept up with this race on the internet last September when they held it. It was really exciting to watch it that way.
Maybe you can find some kind soul in your town who will tape the 4 episodes for you......hope hope hope

I'm not a Eco follower, but I can't stand the fact that you can't find any takers for your swap....(lotsafuzz, I couldn't live without my VCR + TIVO, I'd even give up my washing machine or dishwasher first!!)....ANYWAY, I spoke to my husband (the technical taping engineer in these parts) and he says he can tape the episodes for ya...I you are interested, you can email me at [email protected]. No swap (as I said above I'm not a follower) but no cost to you either....Just LMK so I can set up TIVO...
