The Mitchell estate is suing to block the publication of a novel that tells the late writer's "Gone with the Wind" story from the perspective of a former slave who is an illegitimate half-sister of Scarlett. "The Wind Done Gone", by Alice Randall, is set to be published in June, but is considered a violation of US Copywrite law since it pertains to the characters of the original book.

I would read it if its allowed to be published. However, I did not care for Alexandra Ripley's version of the second half "Scarlett". She also writing another one to sequel it. I think I will pass on that one.

How does this differ from doing a parody?
