OK--I know this is way off the subject. Has absolutley nothing to do with auctions, "share a joke" "make a friend" etc.
My sister and her husband are musicians. They play as a duo in nicer hotels, casinos, etc. She's a pianist and vocalist, he's bass guitar and vocalist. They have been musicians who make their living this way all of their life, and yes, they're fun, good and diversified. You want "Folsum Prison?" they can play that. How about "In The Mood?" they can play that too. Want some heavy metal? They know the latest. 70s greatest hits? Rock, Country, Jazz, you name it--they play it. Recently their agent has not been coming through for them. Their last big job at a casino in Nevada was canceled because he never got the contract to them in time! With problems like this (and a host of others with him,) they're looking for a new agent--preferably based in the northwest. We've checked out the internet and there's a million listed--and who knows which ones are reputable? Does anyone out there have any suggestions? I talked to her today and she's tired and discouraged, and this is the only way I could think of to try and help her. Any ideas would be welcome. And no--don't suggest they sell their musical equipment on e-bay!

I have two cousins who used to do the Holiday Inn circuit in the 1970's. It always fascinated me that she had LIVE goldfish in the soles of her shoes! I never really knew them, however.
The best way I would think to find a reputable agent is to talk to the others playing the same circuit they are. OR barring that, how about looking at their photo slicks - usually you will find the agent's name and contact information right there on the slick.
OR perhaps you could just auction off their services on eBay! Look under disc jockey and you will see auctions of just djs putting their services up for bids.
