I'm not trying to get anyone to follow me anywhere or get anyone in trouble here. I felt really sorry for some people I came across who were suspended and are still trying to figure it all out.

Yes, there have been changes made. But there are people who really liked it here and now they can't be a part of this community because they may have innocently said something that was taken the wrong way. That's my point. My only point.

Unfortunately, when I stated that in my first thread, it was locked when some people agreed. Change is good. Change for the better is real good. But can't you just stop and listen to what others have to say before you send them on their way? Some of those who were suspended had a lot to offer here.

I made my point, I'm not going to beleaguer it any more. If I've given some of the higher ups at AW something to think about - good. If not, so be it. Such is life.

Have a great day all!!!!

malkav99 over and out

Dinnertime, Arnold!!!

Tell your friends you'll be back to play after you do the dishes.

Your wife,
Maria

Okay, here's my take on this. If those people who "really liked it here" want to come back, they can email AW and ask to be reinstated. Anyone who has read these boards the last week, can surely understand how to contact the moderators.

Maria is getting really scary-looking. Her face especially. Skull-like.

Send it to the corn field, Anthony. Please--send it to the corn field!

Spaz,

Be afraid...be very afraid.

You're assuming that I, Femme, am not Arnold's beloved wife.

Was wondering when someone would bring up "It's a Good Life' by Jerome Bixby.
It's the perfect fit.

For you, Spaz:

On a given morning not too long ago, the rest of the world disappeared and Peaksville was left all alone. Its inhabitants were never sure whether the world was destroyed and only Peaksville left untouched or whether the village had somehow been taken away. They were, on the other hand, sure of one thing: the cause. A monster had arrived in the village. Just by using his mind, he took away the automobiles, the electricity, the machines - because they displeased him - and he moved an entire community back into the dark ages - just by using his mind. ...And you'll note that the people in Peaksville, Ohio, have to smile; they have to think happy thoughts and say happy things because, once displeased, the monster can wish them into a cornfield...This particular monster can read minds, you see. He knows every thought, he can feel every emotion. ... when those eyes look at you, you'd better start thinking happy thoughts, because the mind behind them is absolutely in charge."

Thanks, bunnicula. A couple days ago I considered transcribing and posting the whole story but figured it would be WOMD and all my effort would be for nothing. But it always comes to mind at times like these.

I also like "Jeffty is Five" by Harlan Ellison. It's not thematically linked to the Bixby story, yet somehow one always reminds me of the other. Probably the weird kid angle.

I have noticed that about Maria, Spaz. Arnold must have her working out and on a strict diet. Hubby commented the other night that she needs to lose the hair. Waay too much with her thinner face.

I think it's rather nice of you all to have so much fun at the expense of people who are no longer able to post here. And btw, they have tried to get answers and get back in. They've done what they're supposed to do and emailed the proper parties with no responses forthcoming.

Have fun kids.

Nobody's having fun at their expense. Nothing to do with these suspensions is fun. I've been suspended from here. It sucks. But one thing I didn't do was create new screen names and come back to plague the administrators who booted me. If you're trying to elicit sympathy for the recently departed among TPTB, I would guess that you're failing miserably. Probably the only thing that all the grandstanding and fake ID games accomplish is to make them more determined than ever to stay the course. Furthermore, you try to sound wounded and reasonable in your opening post to this thread, yet over at the other board you frequent now, you treat this like a game -- even while knowing that the people you're trying to appeal to read what's going on at other sites.

Use some common sense, will ya?

Hepburn, in all honesty, I did make a serious attempt to defend those who have been suspended because I did feel sorry for them. I guess I got ticked off on their behalf because they can't get in here and show how ticked off they are. I should have left it be after my first thread was locked. My mistake.

Nobody here is happy those who are not here are gone. On the contrary. But there isnt anything we can do about it, is there? Your inital post was a good one, until you decided that we are in the wrong for whatever it is you think we are doing.

If we've all noticed Maria's drastic changes in appearance, the network honchos must have too. I wonder how long it'll be before they replace her. Or maybe they're too intimidated to anything about it, her being a "Kennedy" and all.

That also crossed my mind (not about your caribbean vacation. About Maria and the network). She does look awful (not katyd, Maria). She might be a kennedy, but right now, she looks like a skeleton and newspeople are supposed to be "the beautiful people".
