My wife is a teacher and today is her students last day. Friday will be her last day of work till sometime in August. After 2 1/2 months of playing Mr. Mom to our baby every weekday by myself I'll be off shift for awhile. God it will be so great to be able to slip of to the post office without having to look like some sort of refugee, to be able to have a cup of hot coffee (not one I had to put down for 15 minutes after every sip), to be able to go to the grocery store and not have someone comment on my beautiful grand baby... grrrrrrrrrr.
I love my baby more than life, but the thought of a break on the duties has got me doing the happy dance. I remember clearly walking home when I was in the second grade when summer vacation began, this isn't as great as that, but it's in the ballpark.
