i have 3 canon printers all in working order. when i change cartridge, or power outage, sometimes it won't power up. changed power and printer cables..also, tried sliding the cartridge to different position. as well as pusing the printhead cleaning button..any ideas???

Which model is it, is it a bubble jet?
I have been using the same one for about 4 years, still working fine, not super quick though. I have other printers on the other computers, but I like this one, I'm too used to it I guess.
I have had problems once in awhile, but only when the orange 'resume' light comes on, then I shut it off and turn it back on.
You could try, if you haven't already, going to your control panel, then printers and see if you can do anything there? If you have 3, then it should show the 3 there.
