I paid $499 for it, but I think they can be had cheaper now.
The picture was taken in jpg compression mode. The Mallards were about 25 feet away. The camera has a 10x zoom, which was zoomed in as tight as the lens would go.

The Canadins are here too, but up the street at a larger pond.[I live in a major Metropolitian area !]
I bought the FD 73 specifically because you use regular floppy disks in the camera. Nothing to install on the PC if you have a good graphics application and floppy drive. The camera came with a graphics application that I understand is pretty good but I never installed it. Just take the disk out of the camera and put in the floppy drive and you have your pictures.
