Okay, FWIW...and if anyone really cares, I did a search today on ebay's home page and found (under Investor Relations) the information when ebay filed it's Edgar Filing. That's ebay's financial earnings from 12-31-00 to 3-31-01. I have copied and pasted part of what I found. Bolding is mine.

Exactly. They incorporated in Delaware, but they pay taxes to CA. (because in Delaware there are no state income taxes) and they run their business out of California.
Oh well, if they killed Kenny again, then it doesn't matter

Hi NearTheSea - I know, I lived in San Jose, only a few miles south of ebay. I have read many times that some of ebays rules are in place, because they are governed by California laws, not DE.

Ebay is in Duluth. Also Kennebunkport, Maine. Also just about any other place anyone cares to name. Unbelievable that these, ummm, make such a statement an issue.
I know, because I used to work in the actual building on Hamilton Av in San Jose.

Pattaylor: Kenny is a character on South Park that gets killed in every episode. And they always say "Oh my God, they've killed Kenny! The bas***ds!".
