I have been getting tons of spam today. Much more than usual. Most of it seems to be the XXX porn accounts stolen one. Anyone else getting more than usual today?

Nope - You must have stopped at the wrong site recently and they sold your address to someone. Probably will be worse for a couple days if they keep selling it.

I have been to a lot of sites in the last couple of days so that's probably it thanks. Now I'm getting it every 10 minutes. Is there a place to report it that can help?

Do you use an email client which has mail filters (i.e. Eudora, Outlook etc.)?

That's probably the easiest way to staunch the flow.

I use AOL. It seems like they usually come from Yahoo addresses. But I get customer emails from Yahoo too so I can't block them.

Oh, AOL, yeah... sorry, you're out of luck there! I use AOL for some mail and luckily my main AOL accounts don't get much spam (knock on wood).

If you've ever visited any chat room using your AOL account, you're in for spam from now until the day you change your screen name. I learned that the hard way.

I wasn't in a chat room, but thanks for the info. I'll remember that in the future.

Some web sites are so devious, that they use JavaScript to steal the e-mail address right out of your browser without your knowing about it. Simply by being active on the Internet will get your spam count upgraded.

Count me dumb on this one... but how can a JavaScript get someone's email address from a browser? Unless I'm way off here, my email address has nothing to do with my browser. I suppose that might not be the case if someone is using Outlook Express or Netscape...?
