I read the above story and completely sided with the vendor.

These kids of wealth aren't trying to make the rent like the vendor is.

I can't find a link to the other story on this but it should be noted that these are relatives of some politician and very wealthy kids of privilege who are taking this guy's business away.

I doubt this would make the news if it didn't happen on the Upper West Side..If it were Harlem or The Bowery nobody would care, and two more kids would go hungry..Must be nice to have the cash to draw attention to these kids. They couldn't walk the three blocks to the zoo and sell there? Kinda makes me sick...I'd bet their Yuppie Parents will sue.

I'd side with the vendor on this also. It is one thing to set up a lemonade stand in the surburbs, it's another thing to set one up in the middle of a city and compete with a vendor paying taxes and license fees.

Perhaps he should have used the American way to get the kids out of his area, purchase a glass of lemonade, faked an illness and sue the parents.
