Not to sound stupid here..........

But is there any way to cancel your account on Epier using their site? I looked everywhere and cannot find a link. I have emailed them but wanted to know if anyone knew of any place on the site where it can be done.

I don't think there is a way...lol...I've seen several talking about not being able to even cancel their storefronts! One person stated that they were still being billed even though they ended their account, wrote letters, etc. their card was still being billed. It's on one of the business boards I think.

closing account dont know but you can go to help, then sellers page, then end my auctions early and SLOWLLY ONE AT A TIME end THEM ALL, then go to main, then to delete and they are removable.

That only ends your auctions...not close your account or stop the storefront monthly charges from being taken out...

I wrote to them asking for my account to be closed at least 2 months ago. No response. I have filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and am waiting to hear back.

I have emailed several times, trying to get my $20.00 Verification "fee" back. I made ONE sale since the verification - 2 days later and not one sale since. I plan on making contact with a BBB or some other type of place to work on getting my payment back (if possible) AND getting my user name removed. <p> Does anyone have any other good places to contact? I debated about doing a chargeback on them, but I think it has been too long. Hmmm! I may look into that in the morning. What can they do - remove me???? )

I quite selling on epier just after the verification fee. I was sad I spent the $20.00, but felt it went to a good cause, pushing the site to other buyers/sellers. Well, then I find out they didn't do much WITH that money, still want more to advertise and I don't even have the verification notice by my name now! That was the last straw for me.

If anyone has any ideas of places to contact or ways to get through to epier, please post them so we can help each other.

Hello nukidd,
Sorry!! but Welcome to the Club of Buyers/Sellers that were misled and abused by ePier. Several of us have filed complaints with the BBB and Fraud organizations that we hope will be able to get our money refunded. The money was taken under false pretences and I think there are a lot more folks out there that may have had similar experiences. ePier have NEVER answered any of my emails or given a reason why I (with a perfect 175 feedback) was banned access to my auctions etc.
I do not know if A/W permit this but I will attach the links to the relevant BBB department (you can join many others for the complaint) and also a Fraud Link (which will hopefully stop ePier from sucking in innocent and honest people and then ZAP them with Fees in as little as 7 days notice, after they have spent considerable time and effort to not only list but bring innocent people to a site that is intent on using and abusing them).
Here they are and Good Luck!

Well, I MAY have hit pay dirt! I filed with the BBB and then I called my credit card company! With the card I used, I was still in time to do a charge back - for a lack of service. I told them I would either take the entire $20.00 or they could keep 3 months of it and return the rest. I also told them I wanted my name, info, etc. removed from the site. That may not get done by me credit card co. but I dare say I may get their attention a little more quickly this way! It might be worth a try if you used a credit card...

Good luck! I have a wide smile on my face tonight! )

Nukidd: If you r CC Co. has full line services, they ought to be able to block EPIER from ALL future Charges unless you authorize otherwise. I had to do that to a company once, and my lender cooperated NP.

On another Note:
Its soooo Ironic when I check in on some of the Members we knew there who supported EPIER 100% in all their decisions, and endorsed the members being banned etc., now posting everywhere how they are being duped and held hostage as were the members who posted here with similar problems.

What did they think they were special or something? LOLOL!!
Hellooo? anyone hooommee??? LOL!

Latest complaint is EPIER is withholding all Winning Bidder EMAIL addresses unless the Seller submits their CC number.

nukidd.....I am so glad that you got the cancelation taken care of...however I offer a word of caution...make sure that ePier is BLOCKED from any access to your Credit Card OK? And get it in writing...I am still trying to get a response from them BUT NOTHING..NADA!! Yet they can step in like lightning to cut off a General Chat Board that allowed members to communicate with each other!and commence email responses asking for your Credit Card Number!.......hhhhmmmmm!!
Good Luck!

I will be sure to tell them that. Thanks for reminding me! I plan, after getting my chargeback (if it goes through) on going in and removing my charge card from the site. I think it had a way to do that. I was going to before, but I needed proof that I had paid and they had my card number!

Good luck everyone - I will report back on this or some other topic if my chargeback worked or not.

nukidd............if the charge back does not go through...or if ePier continue to charge you contact the BBB at:
http://www.spokane.bbb.org
This is the branch of the Better Business Bureau that is handling all the complaints aginst ePier currently! There is also a fraud company involved! Just post if you need that Link!

I already did! I hit them with ALL barrels! ;o) I told them I would wait until Friday - then on Tuesday I decided I had better not put off calling the Credit card...I couldn't find the link that shows the number of complaints/reports. If you have that, I would like to read them!

We will OVERCOME!

All you ex-Piers know me and my honesty. I haven't stopped using Epier and I go and check the site daily.

However, I can't just read messages and not comment. Epier is NOT demanding a CC before they will email a winning bidder's contact address. I know this because a couple of my oldest auctions got a bid and sold. I received the notices immediately upon auction end and I never supplied a credit card number (I sent a check for the verification fee).

Epier has been messing up recently (and I have complained there as most of you others have), but don't spread rumors that just aren't true. I saw Corn's complaints if Tech was talking about her.

As for canceling an Epier account, I don't believe it's possible without using the credit card/fraud thing. Of, unless one gets to cussing out the management (*smiles to Candlelady and Goldenpony).

I hope you continue being friendly since I am NOT rooting for Epier here, just saying what is fact.

Bob

Thanks Bob...I was curious about that myself...I hadn't heard anything about it other than people (like myself) getting requests for CC#'s for the FVF's on old outdated auctions. Maybe it was just a bug with their latest beta program ;o)

I also don't wish to burn the others users at ePier by spreading rumors...only the facts need to be brought out so others will not be mis-treated the same way. When people pay money for services that are never delivered and user agreements are secretly changed without notice, and promises are continually broken, someone needs to be accountable for what is happening. I hope the ePier staff is taking notice and working on making changes to its policies before another small site sinks out to sea

Bob ....I wish you nothing but success wherever you are (or may go)!...but do NOT question GP and what happened with her!.
You may wish to visit PiePals where a SELLER got demands for CC info for every auction that finished (without a bid on any!). You may wish to also visit PierPals to see what happened to other people!!! Please look at the truth!
I have never witnessed anything before that was so bogus!!!

BTW before A/W pull this thread I am so proud to say that our LITTLE Volunteer Firefighter department (from my home town of Newport, Delaware) today announced that they will be going to New York to relieve the burdened Firefighters at "Ground Zero"...in NYC...THAT is what is important! Not Stupid ePier! Even though they are LIARS AND CHEATS!

For those actually interested in reading "the other side of the story" as well as the facts can go to www.geocities.com/pierpals/ I have cut and pasted the public transcripts and advertisements as well as the actual posts made during a live chat by Mr. Kim and placed them in one place so it is easier to read all the information and facts at the same time rather than hunt for them....also they have since removed the general chat and archives but I was able to copy them before they also disappeared...go read all the facts, then decide for yourself

Hey startrek remember me? I was the one that was a MAJOR Cheerleader for ePier back when you were wanting information and questioning their awful image hosting criteria......??? Before you signed up? I even phoned the idiots there and requested that they treat you better, (they did used to actually answer their phone.....that was back in the days before VM, FVF, Storefronts...meaning before they got idiots to voluntarily send them money, ). Note that the Toll Free Number is now GONE from their Homepage!
Boy I am so sorry that I referred you to that "loser"!
I am sure that you have made note of the many "changes" since you signed up, (deleted the support Forum to start with, removed their 800 phone number, let the answering machine get any message etc ad finitum), added Fees, (banning me and GP with NO reason, still refuse to answer my emails or phone calls...they think I will go away WRONG!!!!) etc......Sorry Buddy!
Don't hold it against me OK?
And I would not waste my time listing there anymore...just makes their listing numbers look good...SALES?? Joke!!
Have you sold anything????
Sorry to even respond to this post as even NEGATIVE advertising for ePier is better than what they have...lol!!!
Hmmmmmmmmm!! perhaps that is why there has been no response?

This has taken a long time to finish, but, by disputing the charge from Epier on my credit card for the $20.00 "verification" fee, I have had my money returned! Epier did not make any contact with the credit card, so they have returned my money and took the charge from Epier's account! That is the GOOD news! The bad news is I still have not been able to get my CC # or name removed from Epier's accounts and the BBB was not able to get anywhere with my complaint either...

While I am glad to have my money back, has anyone had any success in being "unregistered" with epier? If so, how????

I know this is an old complaint, but I wanted to let people know it did happen! Since it is so late others may not be to do a chargeback but if you have just paid some other fee and feel taken advantage of, it might be worth a try!
