I'm just about to start selling (so far, I've just been buying) on ebay. All these postings have scared me to death about Paypal. I already have a paypal account because I've been sending money through it, but now I'm afraid to receive money through it. Sounds like if anybody complains - your funds are just plain frozen!!! That's pretty severe! So - (1) how do you close your account; and (2) what is the best medium for accepting credit card payments if you're an individual? Thanks for any help and advice.

Thanks. I've signed up with exchangepath, but will auctionwatch let you use them? As you can see, I'm totally green on all this. I really appreciate your response.

It is not so bad. Just don't keep money in the account. They really offer a lot of nice features. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the PayPal user agreement so that you do not violate it. Mainly don't send stuff overseas.
