I have created inventory in the SM previously and since then has transferred the inventory to SMP. However the QTY did not transfered with it. Is this normal or I did something wrong.??

Also how do I change the template at SMP the template was created when I was using the SM.

SMP does not support inventory although it sports an inventory field. The field is static. If you want to keep track of inventory in SMP, it cannot be done. See my post about SMP and inventory.
