I am on Windows XP Service pack 3, using IE7.
I have downloaded SMP7 and saved it to my harddrive. Closed all other programs before runnind the install. When I click run I get an hour glass icon for about 4 seconds then it disappears and nothing happens.
As long as you downloaded it directly to your hard drive and aren't installing from the download location you should be ok. It sounds as though the windows unpacking utility isn't loading to start the install process. See if simply restarting and then running the installer has a different effect.
If the error persists it could be a corrupt download - try then downloading and saving it to an alternate location on your drive (if you were saving to your Documents folder, put it on your desktop instead or vise versa) and run the installer from that location instead.
Are you running into the exact same issue after trying to re-download it to an alternate location, where upon double-clicking the icon to launch the installer it just doesn't seem to do anything?
The Sales Manager Pro software is also not a requirement to create and launch your auctions - if the speed of your internet connection is decent you could just list from the regular full featured Sales Manager found here online instead of trying to load the offline stripped down version.
The plan your on would play into this a little once you were able to use the software as you have no image hosting plan setup, so if you added images to smpro you would eventually get an error message, but if your needing to load SMPRO to work offline we'll still need to figure out why upon launching the installer it just seems to stop without any error messaging.
