Over the past year or so I have liked the idea that when I enter a transaction PayPal allows me to enter the last name of the seller (at my option) as an extra verification that the email address to which I am sending the $ is not only "A" PayPal user but is "THE" PayPal user I intended. Yesterday, however, when I did a transaction there was no such option available. Is this a change in policy? Is there a reason for this?

Were you sending money to someone with a business account? If so, there would not be a last name to verify.

No - it was a personal account...but that really begs the question anyway. The point is that there was no place to enter the last name...which is an option that comes up before PayPal would know whether or not you were choosing to pay to a personal account or a business account. So I'm still trying to find out what is happening here.

To see what I am talking about, just go to PayPal and click on the Send Money Tab. You will note that there is no longer a spot to leave the recipient's last name.
