Good morning, Damon,
I would like to list some items for Auction for America.
Because payment goes through Billpoint, all of these listings will contain the Billpoint logo.
My concern is I don't want to lose the 1.5% cash back I receive when I use my PayPal Mastercard.
To qualify for the 1.5%, I agreed not to put any payment services logos in my listings other than PayPal.
Does this requirement extend to AFA auctions?
Please clarify this for me.
Thank you!
Lucy

I have read other places, the question has been asked and we are awaiting an "official answer."

Hi Coonr,
Any idea where?
I just sent a copy of my post to PayPal Customer Service. I'll post their response as soon as I get it.
Thanks,
Lucy

Hi Damon,
Glad to have you back and so sorry to hear about your loss.
I was wondering if you have heard anything about this problem? I will set up a new Ebay ID if I need to as I will only be listing a few items.

Hi all,
Although PayPal is disappointed in eBay's refusal to accommodate PayPal's participation in the Auctions for America drive, PayPal has decided that we will allow users participating in the Auction for America Program to continue with their PayPal Preferred benefits during the 100 day period. We do, however, stress that we are willing to particpate, as well as absorb fees, in order to support this noble cause. The normal criteria for PayPal Preferred still applies for regular auction listings, but users can list Billpoint in their AFA auctions.

Hello Damon,
That's WONDERFUL news!
This is just the kind of caring and generous response I expected from PayPal.
I'm going to change my listing blurb to stress that PayPal is the ONLY online payment method I will accept for my regular auctions.
Thank you for taking care of this for us so quickly.
Now I'm off to do some Auction for America listings.

ohmslucy:
Great idea about including the statement that Paypal is the only online payment you accept for regular auctions. I will do the same and hope many others will as well.
Thank you Damon for your input and all the help you have provided over the months.

If you are Paypal Preferred (listing only in your listings), you can still provide other payment options in EOA or on buyer requests - I occasionally get some Billpoint & Paydirect payments (Haven't had a Bidpay payment in ages).

BUMPING this up to the TOP..
THANK YOU Damon, I've been pondering this myself... Now if you can please solve the PP DOUBLE DIPPING problem, I just might not cut up my PP Debit Card & go back to daily removing all funds from my PP account.

All that & a Bag of Chips Too!!
