I had funds of over $9,000 transferred to my PayPal account. They charged me approx. $283 for this. Now, I find my account is frozen. I've been a member for over a year. I'm a verfied member with a verified bank account and verified credit card. Not knowing it was frozen I used my PayPal debit card to make a purchase. This (I guess ) will be charged to my credit card, where I will have to pay interest. Meanwhile I still have close to $9,000 in my paypal account that I can't touch and no phone number to call to talk with these people. If somebody is going to rob me, I'd have more respect for them if they stuck a gun in my face.

wireman3,

Do you know the approximate time your account was restricted? Can you pin point a time that it wasn't restricted and when it was restricted? What time zone are you in?

There are alot of people who are not very happy with PayPal and how they deal with their customers. You will get alot of advice here at auctionwatch.

Here are some phone number for PayPal.

PayPal, Inc.

PayPal robs everybody's money!
Finally I learned:
NEVER LEAVE FUND IN PAYPAL ACCOUNT OVERNIGHT! IF YOU SEND MONEY WITH PAYPAL, JUST TO CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD ISSUER TO CHARGEBACK!!

Hi wireman3,

Please send me your account email address ([email protected]). This matter has to go through the account management team. I am not in the office on weekends, but I can make sure the case is reviewed (if it has not already been done).

Hi loggia,

Yes, like I did for grumpy. All cases are forwarded to the appropriate department. The user should have been in direct contact with a representative concerning their case. As I have stated before, I do not handle the outcome of cases that come my way and I am here to make sure there is follow-up if there was none.

Direct contact with a representative!?? LOL
All I've gotten from them are computer generated letters! If I can't get this taken care of Monday, I'm going to the Commonwealth Attorney or anyone else I have to go to. I've gotton so many emails that I don't know who is really PayPal and who isn't. One email said they suspect fraud! Well, I suspect fraud too!.
