Ive just been told by PayPal customer service that Unverified accounts cannot receive credit card payments made by customers using the Smart Logo on my auctions - Which by the way is the only Logo available when you select the auto insert function on your account. Also Paypal will allow your customer to make the transaction with their card -It just will prompt you to verify your account before you are able to accept. If you cant or wont verify you must deny the payment and your customer gets an email that youve rejected his/her payment. I must say this is a very poor way to treat a loyal customer / Business account. I do hope they treat all their business customers in a similar fashion.
Certain features do require having specific account types. You can still receive credit card payments if the user simply paid you via your email address.
May I ask what the hesitancy is in getting verified? The information you provide is the same at the bottom of any check you write.

Ok Im Calm again, I added my bank account and The screen says Accounts with this routing number can only be used to withdraw funds and not for verification. I went to First Union bank to open a checking account just for paypal and the service fee on a bare bones account is 16.00 plus .25 for each item. Thats a huge expense each month for Paypal only - I cant switch accounts because I have Nova net merchant svcs setup up on my business account - Can I have my Bank officer call and talk with someone to make ACH with Paypal possible ? They do it with Wells fargo, Nova, and American express card services. I have accounts with all three. Is there a special rep or number I can give my banker to call ? I would really like to work out something so we can do business with Paypal. At our First Guaranty acct.
Thanks Much
