I am from South Dakota and operate a small business in Mitchell, SD and do a little selling on e-bay nothing major and I am far from a crook, I value each and every customer that comes to us in hopes of repeat business. I recently sold a $1297.00 lot of vintage baseball cards, great value for the customer and books at over 8,000. Well I accepted payment through paypal and shipped items delivery confirmation with signature as instructed to guarantee no charge backs etc... Well the horror story really begins when they froze my account within 48 hours claiming fraud and that to unfreeze my account I would have to provide delivery confirmation within 3 days. I told paypal that the return receipt will take the post office several days to send to me at which time I will show the signature of the buyer and that item was received. Apparently a fraudulent buyer can simply claim they didn't get something and paypal takes the money pending an investigation or something. Well I am unable to close my account or withdraw any remaining funds, but people still continue to send me money which I can't access. Talk about Pay-pal creating fraud for there customers, how am I suppose to fill orders if pay-pal allows money to go into a frozen account but won't release it? I say to all people reading this, make sure the seller wants you to pay using paypal before you make payment, because chances are if the account is frozen the seller will be unable to fill your order. I presently have the SD attorney general calling Paypal but he get's nowhere either. Hopefully the Feds will shut these bastards down. Their crooked, and anyone that has anything good to say about pay-pal just wait, they'll get you someday too.
