I'm sure you have all been avidly following my never-ending SAGA with DAMON about my virtual PayPal Tee-Shirt!

FOR MONTHS (or at least a couple of days!) Damon has led me along a merry chase -- tantalizing me with promises of satorial splendor!

I THOUGHT my troubles were over the other day when FedX delivered a package (in, I might add, a "plain-paper wrapper"!) from PP!

BUT, upon opening, I discovered to my dismay...TWO XL Tee-SHIRTS!

DAMON: Are you hinting that my svelte (though blubbery) body requires TWO XL's to cover it? I'm MORTIFIED! I'm RECTIFIED! I'm PASTUERIZED by this SCANDAL!

I plan on taking my "CAUSE" to Oprah...to Sally...to bed!

The horror, the horror.

Have you contacted Jacoby & Meyer over the issue?

Hi,

I sent 2 because I don't know what happened to the other one sent last year. And there was quite a delay in my getting them out.

Hi trai,

I am still behind in getting some out (I still have some pending from Novemeber). I just placed an order, so I should be getting them all out shortly. You can drop me an email to make sure I still have your info.

I think the seller is trying to scam you. The reason is I received Albania as a free bonus in a transaction last year. I'm still waiting for the title, but I can tell you I'm really excited about the deal.

I'm also closing a deal with a Nigerian government official. As soon as I make a deposit in his bank I'll be able to pocket $230,000.00. Not a bad investment considering I'm only risking $1,500.00.

OTOH: I hope you were paying thru your e-Gold(BRICK) account while dealing with the Nigerians! The only SURE BET for e-SAFETY!

club1man;

Sorry - I had to do a charge back, I heard you returned the tunnels and a bridge. But then paypal restricted my account... You know the rest of the story. lol

Just who do you pay with egold? I did a descriptive search on eBay for 'egold' and it came up on only 42 auctions. That's not exactly what you'd call wide spread acceptance.

Tom
While e-gold is not widely used on the auctions it is however used in other circles such as news letters and selling software and other products. It could however be promoted and be more widely accepted. The potential is there and like I said it eliminates some of the pitfalls. Go to e-gold.com and investigate it for your self or send an email to [email protected] and i'll send you info.

It's been a while since I looked at egold, but tell me how close I am on my perception of how it works.

I open an egold account, but to put funds in it I must go through an "egold exchange provider". These 'providers' charge anywhere from 5% to 15% to fund my e-gold account depending on the method I use to fund the account (money order, credit card, bank wire.)

To take money out of my e-gold account again I have to go through an 'exchange provider' who will charge a % of the transaction.

Is this how it works? Are you one of the "Exchange Providers," club1man?

Uaru Yes I'm a gold exchanger.I f you are a buyer than you would go through someone like myself to fund your e-gold account and I would have to charge you,but if you are a seller all you have to do is open an account and have the buyer transfer to you (no charge). To redeem your gold in dollars you go to omnipay.net and fill the form out and they will send you a check for one dollar. Also depending on the market you could leave it there and make or lose money depending on the fluctacion of gold. Personally I have made money that way.If you have any other questions please feel free to email me at [email protected]

Give me a step by step process including my fees in this senario. A buyer is selling a lead wicket for $200 that I desperately want, and he accepts egold payments.

What is the process and fees for me to fund an egold account with $200 via my credit card?

Going back to the tshirt... would anyone really wear one of these in public? I live in Silicon Valley in the same neighborhood as PayPal. I mentioned my PayPal problem to a friend at a local bar/restaurant a few weeks go. Someone overheard me and also started talking about their problems. Next thing I know... 10 people are all complaining passionately about their horror stories. Given that incident... I'd be very cautious about wearing anything with a PayPal logo in public. (Personally... I'd even have problems falling asleep in one!)

the easist way would be sending me a cashiers check for $ 210 and I would fund your egold account with $200. and of course your e-gold account #

frustratedguy,

I wouldn't wear anything with the name PayPal on it for the fear of getting my @$$ kicked. Hell, somebody is liable to shoot you for wearing such clothing. You would be better off wearing a bullseye on your shirt.

I think we should make a suggestion to paypal to donate all of their company logo shirts, hats, etc., to Osama bin Laden. The perfect target. I mean, if anyone needs to be shot on sight... In addition to the fact that no one here wants them anyway (unless it's time to wash & dry the cat box again).

Wouldn't it be easier for me to just send $200 to the seller and save myself $10? How would I fund my e-gold account with a credit card through you?

You might not belive this (I believe little of what I read on message boards also) but I've had a lot of positive reactions when using my PayPal Debit card. The last time was when I paid for some car repairs, the clerk smiled and pulled his out of his wallet. I've had similar incidents at the Post Office and department stores.

I realize nobody but me uses PayPal in this thread, but there sure seems to be a helluva lot of auctions on eBay, Yahoo, ePier, etc. that do use PayPal. Strange huh?

You said that no one here uses PayPal? I think everyone here has used them... that's why we're unhappy. Let's see how happy you are when they shut you down because of some stupid policy.

(Some people will do anything for a free tshirt!)
