Hello,
I have fruitlessly for the past 2 weeks have tried to get my cashback bonus for charges made through my PayPal debit card...the cashback was taken away over a month ago due to the Billpoint logos being placed in my auctions...I finally got all my auctions turned around to accept and advertise PayPal only...I have been in compliance for over a month now and have not be reinstated...I have phoned the toll-free number twice now and both customer reps said they would forward it to another department...still nothing..PayPal seems to be quick to take the cashback bonus away, but so slow to give it back...like I said, I have been PayPal preferred for over a month now...your own website even says this, and I quote from a cut-n-paste.."PayPal will continue to check your auction listings each week. We will automatically re-qualify you for the PayPal Preferred program as soon as you are compliant with the program guidelines."
What gives???? Can you help me PayPalDamon?
Below is my Ebay user ID if PayPal needs to check on my auctions for verification...

Damon, you're real quick to jump with a response whenever there's a new poster with a new problem. What about those of us who have asked repeatedly for assistance and get ignored??? I've now been waiting 42 days for a reply from PayPal. So far all I've got is "I'll be glad to forward your email to the appropriate department." Evidently the "appropriate department" is the trash bin.
Mind if I ask just what your job description is??? I'd love to have a job where all I did was sit on my fanny and forward emails to nonexistent departments.

You're right on Sheila but look at it another way... judging from Damon's handling (or lack of) of our problems, this is probably his first job out of school. Everyone seems to knows how bad PayPal's customer service is, so imagine how his current job will look on his resume. Who in their right mind is going to hire someone from customer service from PayPal? Especially someone who just gets on message boards and gives the image of helping, when the most he does is quote some stupid PayPal policy. If he made an attempt to fix the problems, it might be a different story. I've been in this industry for almost 30 years, and in silicon valley for 7. It's a small community which doesn't forget. This kind of behavior always catches up with the person/company...

Lets all pray that it catches up with PayPal. If and when they ever go out of business, I will have to have a party and celebrate their demise.

I read that a guy called PayPal's customer service and asked to speak to the infamous Damon himself. And what was he told??? ... That there was no one by that name who worked for PayPal!!! This same customer service rep further stated that no employee from PayPal is allowed to post messages in a public forum. I always thought it was strange that a company the size of PayPal has only ONE person who I've ever seen post in public.
So now my question is ... who have I sent my personal info to if it wasn't a PayPal employee?????????

Sheila... I called PayPal headquarters in Palo Alto and asked for Damon. They immediately transferred me to him. He appears to never be there. Just like with email, I left messages with no response. (And it's a local phone call, since I live less than a mile from their headquarters.) He unfortunately seems to be real (at least in name)... but he remains invisible when trying to contact him.

Not that it's extremely relevant, but I'm assuming since at least 3/4 of his time is spent doing 'damage control' on this and other message boards, which could obviously be done on a home PC - he probably telecommutes. Either that or he just screens his calls.
P.S. Sheila, even if Damon is NOT a PayPal employee (and I'm not sure why ANYONE would want to embarrass - or endanger - themselves by claiming to be one if they weren't)- But even if he's not, you're probably better off sending your information to him then PayPal anyway.
