I have a US business account with PayPal..since I don't sell through it, I feel ok about keeping it, despite all the horror stories.

The thing is, I have a home in Mexico as well, where I spend most of my time. PP comes in handy because I can use it to pay bills when I'm overseas.

My question is this: I have a US bank account and cc linked to my account now, but most of my money is in Mexico. Can I add an additional MEXICAN credit card to my account to use as well? I see nothing on the site that says one way or another..but if you have international members, you must take international cards, right? Or wrong?

Thanks.

Apparently you didn't read the part I wrote that said, "I don't sell with PP,.... I can use it to pay bills".

I did read the international threads..they applied to people that bought or sold merchandise. I do not use Pay Pal for those things. I mostly pay vendors for services and where I would never need to make a claim, i.e., I never send money to unkowns.

Since I am overseas most of the time and run websites, I have to pay a lot of US vendors that don't take credit cards..programmers, designers, media producers, etc.

They all take PayPal for payments from established clientele. I avoid the $40.00 international wire transfer fees and a trip to the bank. My online bill pay from my US bank sucks worse than PayPal ever could, so now I pay my very happy vendors instantly.

If I want to purchase something online, I use a credit card.

And unless I'm mistaken yet again..your name isn't Damon.

I hope that you have satisfied your irresitible urge to butt in where your opinion wasn't requested.

... and unless I'm mistaken, this isn't Damon's personal e-mail box. This is a public forum. I believe Mrfoxy76 was only trying to give you words of caution - That's quite an attitude from someone asking for help.

That being said - Don't bite my head off if I'm not correct - but the information below is from the 'add a credit card' function - I assume the reason that they advise international customers that they do not have to input this 3 digit number is because credit cards issued in other countries do not have that feature.

"Note: International account holders will not need to add a card verification number."

It looks like as long as the credit card is a Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card or American Express Card, you can use it.

Hi deannaf,

I don't foresee an issue with this. Please let me know if you encounter any problems doing so.

I was simply making you AWARE as an International user Paypal does not cover you if anything goes wrong....quite frankly if it does makes no difference to me not my money that will be frozen for months, years.

Proceed with caution.
