Hello,
I am the webmaster for AuctionSG.Com. It is a rather new auction website, only 3 days old, with not many user at the moment.
Back to main topic, i saw many horrible stories here on PayPal. Maybe anyone could email me the details or sort so that maybe i can write something on my website to warn my user or put some sort of links etc.

Once you try fooling around you can get in trouble!
I've had over 700 transactions with PayPal over the past 2 years without any problems. I've called them about 7 times & I've always been treated courteously with helpful info!
If ya follow the RULES, PayPal works GREAT -- if you DON'T follow the rules, then ya takes yer chances

if you want to advertise your auction site, say so.
to put a link on your site about warning on paypal is not an effective marketing ploy.
you want to promote your site, not trash another site.

I looked at 10 different items on your auction site, all of them were accepting PayPal payments and you want to put up a link warning your customers not to use PayPal.
Why don't you just forbid the use of PayPal on your auction site and see how that works to attract buyers and sellers.

Hello Sir/Madam,
Please do not get our intention wrong. We do not want to advertise our site in this matter. We apologies if we had given you such feelings.
Anyway i did advertise my auction site on auctionwatch.com but it is not on this category. We do not have any dealing with paypal and many seller used them as one of their payment options. But the problem is I had seen many complaint over here and see if it is necessary to add in a section on paypal. We do not want our user to had any problem with their online auction.
Thank you. Apologies again for any inconvenies caused.

to auctionsg:
If you stay around long enough, you will undoubtedly be reading negative posts about your service too -- that's nothing against your service, it's just the nature of online buyers and sellers to complain when things don't work the way they want them to.
Just as you will know that the negative complaints about your site are not correct, so too most of the complaints about PayPal are off base. I'm one of those who has used it for years and had no serious problems, and what problems I have had have been solved in an efficient, courteous, timely manner.
Instead of trying to warn customers away from PayPal, you should form a partnership with PayPal as AuctionWatch has done and encourage your users toward it.
