They've got the make-real-money fever now. The sleeping giant is awakening.

In addition to the core features of the service, users can choose to dabble in two of Yahoo!'s growing stable of paid services. Among the services on offer: games, auctions, bill-paying, encyclopedia, and financial reports. In addition, Yahoo! will offer Plus members discounts and special offers on other premium services, including a one-month trial of its personals section and a 20 percent discount on classifieds and extra e-mail storage.

Looks like Auctions are going to be part of the subscription service in the future. Tooltimes do you see this as a positive, or negative move?

Another item I just noticed is "bill-paying". Could this be paydirect?

I guess it depends on the bundled deal as to whether it will help Yahoo Auctions or not. The discount package could be a reason that Yahoo is leaving the Auctions in place as the more components in a packaged deal the better it is to attract potential takers of the package.

I would like to see a low priced monthly deal that offered big discounts on the Auctions portion of Yahoo. I have no desire for greater Yahoo email space or Yahoo Games or Yahoo Classifieds. I hope they let the Yahoo users tailor make the package to fit their individual needs and wants.

I don't know what to make of the implied PayDirect portion of any package.

At least Yahoo is making some moves and any move is better than being static ( not counting the countless bad moves by Yahoo in the past ).

Tooltimes it should be interesting to see what happens. The positive thing is the wheels are starting to slowly turn at yahoo. I would love to see a $9.95 subscription for auctions with free paydirect. Hopefully they can make the right choices.

It seems at the rate Yahoo seems to move , and how un-user friendly they are to auction sellers,it may be next xmas before they remember the auction portion. I'm surprised anyone is still listing on Yahoo or Amazon....

You got kicked off Yahoo a long time ago for spewing your &@*($&@ so as with all of your posts, it holds no water. If you had behaved, you would have enjoyed one the best years Yahoo has had in sales at the auction venue. It is people like you that give sellers a bad name.
