I have stopped using PayPal, and I am looking for an alternate online payment method. I don't see alot said . . . good or bad . . . about Yahoo's PayDirect.

What is your feeling about this service. They appear to be insured and deposited in a real bank. Are there horror stories like you hear with PayPal??? Are there a lot of people using this service?

One of the bad things is that apparently not a soul on ebay has even heard of PayDirect as I have offered it on hundreds of auctions without any takers.

One of the good things about PD is that the seller must either accept or deny every payment made to him. This reduces the hassle of making electronic refunds due to buyers "forgetting" to add s/h costs and other mistakes.

I haven't been stung by paypal or billpoint, I was however a victim of a credit card chargeback with paydirect. Paydirect was pretty cool, no extra fee but there was no seller protection. The scammer did lose his paydirect account so at least he won't be able to work his magic any more. Unfortunately the scammer did keep his yahoo account and has sprouted another.
