Yup!

http://auctions.yahoo.com/phtml/auc/us/promo/announcements.html

Usually Yahoo has a FLD in response to an ebay FLD but this appears to be on their own. The Yahoo Auctions STR or sell thru rate must have fallen to a very embarassingly low figure. I know that only about 5% of what I list there is ever sold.

Note:
For Yahoo Auction items to show up in Froggle searches they must have a BIN price.

Yep. Posted a bunch of stuff today.

The first buy it now message I get is a guy who wants to pay by credit card and ship to Indonesia.

Why Me?!?!?!?!?

I just had an Indonesian buyer on Yahoo last week. He paid by BidPay and everything went perfectly though.

Just got my first 2 FLD sales from one buyer that is going to pay in a few minutes by PayPal.

See my thread on the eBay board about Payingfast.com and this buyer. It looks like he may actually work out.

Amazing!

My item was $8 and I charged him $5 for Air Mail. I mailed the item the next day and 4 days later the money order showed up. He posted feedback after a week so he must have received the item.
It only cost a nickel to list it on Yahoo after wasting 30 cents on ebay.

Does Yahoo have auctions? I thought they stopped the auction site?
I know they are charging for the store; what's your experience with the auction site?
So far looks like Ebay rules.

Yep. Yahoo Japan still has 3 million listings and ebay pulled the plug on their ebay - Japan auctions because they could not compete.
If an item on Yahoo Auction has a Buy It Now Price it will appear on Froogle searches.

The Yahoo Stores are $50 per month.

Not much buying action in the Yahoo - USA Auctions though.

You guys seems to know a lot of what's going on.

What's the (future) status of Ebay & half.com. I'm with Half.com and sell prim. books, but there have been virtually no sales this year except textbooks and technical books.
I just sold a used modem through half.

Now, with Yahoo USA, what's the latest with them?

It seems that everybody wants to charge for setting up a store. I'm a little guy, I don't have inventory, I just sell used stuff like a yard sale. Is there anywhere left for us little guys?

If your item is in demand it may sell on yahoo. If your items are low demand a site like bidville would be ideal, but the sell through rate on bidville and many 3rd tier sites is around 0.4% - 0.7%. eBay is still the best option.

Now on to yahoo's FLD. I was surprised to find several buys during the FLD. Usually the majority is junk, but this time I bought some nice items.

I sold about 20 items out of 350 and slowly but surely they are paying for their buys. There must be a few diehards that either hate ebay or never learned any auction setup other than Yahoo's. Humans are creatures of habit.
