Ugh.

I launched 7000+ auctions last week on FLD. Now I'm starting to pull items that have bids, and I'm noticing some things I haven't had in months.

I don't know if I imported something wrong or my auction service messed up, but I've straightened out the ones that have bids. Fine. Not in trouble yet.

BUT- now I want to cancel ALL my auctions. I know how to use the MANAGE AUCTIONS feature to do it, but like I said, there are THOUSANDS.

Who can I contact or what do I do?

Why not just let them run and finish and then cancel them when they are "Items Not Sold"? This FLD is another typical Yahoo FLD where very, very few items actually get sold ( and paid for ) and very few items even receive page hits. What possibly can be so bad in the auctions that you would want to pull the auctions before they finish?

"What possibly can be so bad in the auctions that you would want to pull the auctions before they finish?"

Well, the simple fact that I don't HAVE the item anymore. Apparently I imported my entire database, whether or not the QTY>0

Out of 7000 auctions, there are several hundred that I don't have anymore- and there is no easy way to know which I do & don't have without looking each one up and deleting them one at a time will take... WAY too long.

I'm not worried about the ones that don't sell- I'm worried about the ones that do.

And yeah, with that many running at once, some will sell, even on Yahoo

Let's see 7,000 and some auction items aren't around anymore. A few of the items will sell then that are not available. The worst that can happen is a few negative feedbacks from non-understanding bidders. On Yahoo Auctions the feedback ratings of both sellers and buyers is not nearly important as they are on ebay. I often will sell something on Yahoo and see something like a (53) rating and think "great bidder" but when I click on the rating it is 69 positives and 16 negatives. For Yahoo that is still a darn good rating as the guy paid more then didn't pay.

Yeha, it wouldn't be the end of the world, but I still TRY to avoid Negs, especially when I know ahead of time that there are going to be problems

Still, you'd think there would be some kind of email support SOMEWHERE on Yahoo.

My auction service and I have been back-and-forthing all afternoon over this. Their service is SUPPOSED to be able to cancel auctions, but it doesn't seem to be working. They'be been very cooperative and answered me in a timely manner, there just is no working solution... yet.

Are you getting many bids/sales? I've listed 300+ items and sold only 5 or 6 so far in a week ( everything of mine has a BIN price to get on Froogle plus nothing gets two bids on Yahoo anyway )

GLad to say that you two are the only @#%%#$% to not have sales. As usual, you two are blowing smoke. Sales are great. Not ebay great, but definetly above Yahoo standards.

Go to other message boards and read about the lack of sales on Yahoo FLDs. You are one in a thousand if you consider Yahoo a Paradise. Yahoo should just pull the plug on their whole action segment over there. Are they really content to make just a few dollars a day?

I wasn't complaining about lack of sales, I was worrying about selling items I don't have. Usually, I am a big Yahoo supporter.

But since you brought it up, I USUALLY list 7000-ish auctions on FLD. In the past I have always had page after page of bids. This time I have less than 20, with only 6-8 buy-it-nows. It definitely is slower, and I do not sell seasonal merchandise.

I'll try again on the next FLD, but I think I'm about done wasting money and effort on Yahoo.

As usual auctionace, no money where your mouth is. This FLD was very succesful and with the slow summer months coming ahead, it was great timing to sell off some extra items before everything becomes dormant.

I sold about 20 of the 250 items listed. The problems is that only maybe 5 will actually pay up. Two have sent payment already by PayDirect, except of course they "accidently" forgot the shipping part in the total. I few are deciding if they really want want they won.

I just got a negative feedback from a buyer that bought something 7 months ago. I was still able to change her positive feedback into a negative feedback. If I ever decide to leave Yahoo Auctions completely I may change all 1,000+ positive feedbacks that I have left to negatives just to show Yahoo how screwy their setup is.

Still more spewing by the auction dud. Facts are since Yahoo started listing fees, the deadbeat rate is nearly extinct. They all went to Bidville and Ioffer.

Wrong! There is a definite " It doesn't really matter " attitude by most buyers at Yahoo.

P/S ... WWF wrestling is fake and there is no Easter Bunny either.

You have to have a value in the shipping field when you create the auction for paydirect to include that amount in a paydirect instant payment. As a seller you should know that and make it easier for your buyers to pay you.

YOU try adding it in 350 relists! I add it the first time and Yahoo makes you add it each time. If someone buys a book for $2 and sends you just $2 do they really expect free shipping when the shipping is prominently displayed in the description? Can anyone be that incredibly dense to expect that? I guess I should disable PayDirect but half of the buyers use it.
