I can appreciate that it's free, but there's NO TRAFFIC!

I bulk listed for several weeks in a row. Sold a couple items each time. Not much traffic, but hey, its free. And bulk listing is quick and easy.

I am truly amazed at how LITTLE luck I am having there. I used to sell there fairly regularly even just six months ago. Since they went to free listings, NOTHING.

Not a single sale!

Actually, I had expected a bit more, and I am a well seasoned auction/on line seller since 1996. I know this is still in the "Back to School" time. Probably much of a family's discretionary income is still being used on flashy back to school clothes, etc.

I have seen more pushing of "if you are going back to school you have to be in style ads on TV," that it is very disgusting. School is for learning, nor a daily fashion show - well it should be a place for learning.

Anyway, we have sold 6 or 7 items since we started posting after Yahoo went free - my elder son who is 46, sells collector coins, and gold coins, and apparently he has been doing some selling Yahoo, as we discussed just the other day the differences in our shipping styles.

I also imagine some folks are saving their discretionary income for a "last fling Labor Day," holiday.

After that, I personally expect to see things start moving.

I do not have enough posted on Yahoo yet to make any good evaluation. I only have about 30 auctions up, and when I use to use Yahoo when it was free, to keep a good selling record, I had to have at least a 100 or more running at the same time.

Our web sites keep us so busy that I just have not had time to increase my postings on Yahoo as yet, but plan/hope to have the 100+ up by Labor Day.

It takes time for the good sellers to come back and the customers also. Yahoo spent 3 years driving them away; it will take some time to bring them back.

Just the way I see it. I do not see it hurts to keep items posted, and just renew- and renew, it help Yahoo return to its old (good place to sell) and it gives your product exposure also.

Just hang in there; it will take time for Yahoo to recover from their suicide.

I sold about a dozen items on Yahoo in July. About 80% actually paid. I listed the same items that I put on ebay, but lowered the prices. It got to be a real pain having to delete the ebay solds from the bulk loader file, so I gave up on them for now. Not a very good return for the amount of time put into it.

One thing I noticed is that the Yahoo listings seem to show up on Google searches a lot faster than ebay items.

I have not had much luck with Yahoo either. I have some nice items on there and I don't understand why there isn't any traffic.

Do you suppose that those related adds at the bottom of our auctions is taking bidders away from our items and directing them into the sponsors items instead? That is what the adds are for, but you would think someone would take the time to place a bid once in a while.

It's tough to complain about free, but I agree, when it was 5 cents to list, at least there were a few bidders. I guess the upgrade to 5 relists does ease that some what. You don't have to baby sit your listings too much. Just relist every 50 days.
