I'm kinda waiting on this answer before I jump into Vendio with both feet,
I currently have nearly 6000 items in my real inventory, and there is no way I'm going to enter all that stuff if there is no ay I can get it all back out again at some point in the future.
I want to switch to Vendio, but I don't want to make a lifetime commitment.

Hello,
After you swich to Inventory Edition, click Import under the Sales Manager Inventory Edition navigation on the right.
You will want to Import from Existing Vendio Account, and you will most likely want to use the default option of "Import ALL Inventory Items". This will bring over All of your inventory items. On the import page there are several links which say "what does this option do?". Those are very useful for reference.
You also asked about swiching back. You can switch back easily and ALL your inventory items will be just as they were. Any new items you create or edits you make in Inventory Edition will not be saved in your Merchandising Edition if you switch back (two different databases).
We strongly encourage you not to switch back and forth though, particularly if you are launching auctions. However, it is pretty easy and painless to switch, import, and check it out and go back if you have to.
Best,
Abe

That doesn't tell me what I need to know. I'm not concerned with getting stuff INTO Vendio, but getting it out again.
How do I EXPORT my inventory data and download it to my own PC? Like downloading a CSV file or something.
The bottom line is that if in a year or two I want to leave Vendio, am I going to be able to download my inventory and use it somewhere else?
I'm looking at leaving my current auction provider for Vendio. I'm thinking ahead for an eventual exit strategy. If there isn't one, I'm not going to get started.

Hello,
While we are setup to export inventory from the standard edition of the Sales Manager, there is no export tool currently setup to work with the brand new Inventory Edition unfortunately.
