This nice old box is in pretty good condition for being over one hundred twenty-five years old. It does have an age crack in the lid visible from the inside only and one in the the bottom. I only see a few of the tiny tiles missing from the lid. There is an area on the back left corner where some of the wood is missing. Judging by the age patina, this wood has been missing for quite a few years. The hinge on this piece is well attached and in fine working condition with no play either way. The box shuts nicely with all eges flush. This piece is 2 7/16" by 2 3/8" and is 1 1/4" tall with its lid shut. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
