This nice old wallpocket is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are some scratches nothing out of the ordinary. It is sort of hard to tell just how this piece is painted. It looks like it has been painted black over top of blue and then rubbed off some so the blue shows in areas, very interesting. It has a matt finish. This piece is 8 1/4" by 2" wide at the widest and 1 1/2" thick from front to back at the thickest. I believe this interesting piece is probably from the 1940's or 1950's. I listed one with flowers on the front in the previous auction which was also made in Japan and is black. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
