This pretty portrait plate is hand painted. The portrait is much sharper in detail than my photographs depict. It has a pale green luster border that is 3/4" wide. All of its pretty hand applied inner rim gold beading and floral garlands are intact. This plate has been stored properly through the years. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratches or repairs. I do see a small. shallow little flake off of the left edge in the photograph at about 10 o'clock. I have a close up of it which makes it look way larger han life. It is actually only 1/8" long and 1/16" wide. I believe this plate is from the Victorian Era. It is 7 3/8" across. I have taken a photograph of the D & Co green back mark as well as the indentification of the subject by the artist on the back. The last photograph was taken with a flash.
