This pretty little box is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are only a few tiny scratches nothing detracting. Thpiece is semi-translucent when held to the light. The litte hand painted bugs and butterflies are in very good condition too. They are hand painted on and don't appear to have been fired in the kiln. The hinge and collar on this box are securely attached. The hinge is in fine working condition. This box snaps shut tightly and stays that way as it should. It is 1 3/4" tall and 2 1/4" across at its most bulbous point. This piece is unsigned so I do nt know where it was made. It is similar to the Herrend or limoges boxes in quality.
