This cute pin is in great condition There are no chips, cracks, melts or repairs. There are some light scratches on the back, they look a lot worse in the photographs than they do in person. A pin like this one is pictured in Karima Parry's Bakelite Pins book on page 48, bottom left. That one had a band of the chocolate Bakelite in the center. This one is not testing positive with my Simichrome polish but I am sure it is because there is a coating on the Bakelite probably to seal the layers. All of the exposed Bakelite, including the back is very shiney. This pin is of good size measuring 3 11/16" by 1 7/16" and is 3/8" thick at the thickest not including the clasp on the back. This one has a locking "C" clasp which is in fine working condition. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
