These 3927186 heads(you are bidding on ONE head here) have new 'better than stock' 2.02 intake & 1.60 exhaust valves, new stock diameter Z28 valve springs, new keepers and were set to stock Z28 spring heights. The heads were only surfaced enough to make them true(appx. .004) and not shaved for performance reasons. I cleaned up a few of the exhaust ports ,but did NOT port them. There was some very rough casting in a few ports that was cleaned up. Of course they were completely magnafluxed also. You probably already found out these heads were very prone to cracking between the valves. I used to do a lot of the collector heads and one of every five was bad when magnafluxed. I'M DONE. These are it. I saved THIS SET for many years. I pulled these heads myself years ago from a running engine that I KNOW had never been apart. I have no other DZ, MO or LT1 parts. The heads had never been touched before, so I know the valves are not sunk and I also had new exhaust inserts installed so the seats are hardened now and can run unleaded fuel. Each head is listed separately for good reason. I'm tired of hearing the whining that the dates don't match and frankly I don't care about that so you decide before you buy. There is no package deal on shipping if you buy both because they get packed/shipped individually anyway. I remember tying up well over $500 of just improvements on the pair of heads on top of what good cores are going for. The surface of the heads is sprayed with a coating so they could be stored and not rust and that's why they look brownish and nasty.
NOW THE PART I REALLY HATE- The one head is dated H-13-? Could EASILY be an 8 or 9 . In person it does not look as much like a 9 as it does in photo close up. The DATES numbers were not the same font as the numbers used for the casting part numbers. The bottom part of the 8 was not larger than the top on the DATE numbers. I dealt with many GM casting dates before and HATE IT because depending on the quality of the casting and the HUMAN that put the numbers together the 3',6”s, 8's and 9's and sometime, even 0's can all look alike. I have one here that no one can tell what it is. The other head is a LITTLE better and I say it is J-18-?. And again the last number could be either an 8 or 9. I have no other DZ, MO or LT1 parts or any 'DATED' parts for that matter.

I doubt you are looking at these Heads just as a performance upgrade with all the aftermarket heads that are available cheap, BUT these are the desirable upgrade heads to bump compression because they have the small combustion chambers and the big valves with the accessory holes in the front so they can be used for later engines or early engines. Some people say these are 64cc and some say 67cc, but they are NOT the common 76cc and will bump compression one full number.
