A very rare CD archive, with old material of this nature some loss /  ageing maybe present in the transfer, this is a b&w xerox type scan , to the best standard possible at the time of archive , the quality is good with all relevant pages some images have loss, this standard should not be compared with more modern archives , it is from a 1939 original

The Boeing clipper is widely regarded at the summit of flying boat technology.  It inaugurated the world’s first transatlantic  heavier-than-air service, and carried passengers and cargo around the globe in the 1930’s and 1940’s. This long-range flying boat produced by the Boeing Airplane Company between 1938 and 1941 and is comparable to the British Short S.26. One of the largest aircraft of the time, it used the massive wing of Boeing’s earlier XB-15 bomber prototype to achieve the range necessary for flights across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. notable  runnings amongst many included the Yankee Clipper and Atlantic Clipper programmes, this revered aircraft also saw service in ww2 and carried Sir Winston Churchill and Franklin D.
