The Breda Ba.27 was an a metal construction fighter produced in Italy in the 1930s It was a low-wing braced monoplane with fixed tailwheel  The fuselage was of steel tube construction skinned with corrugated alloy metal .It used a Alfa Romeo-built Mercury IVA engine. The fuselage shape was later rounded also the skinning replaced with smooth sheet metal . The aircraft was very similar to the Boeing P-26 Peashooter
