LOCATION
Our shipping center is located in Ohio.
SHIPPING TIME
1. We try our best to ship orders paid through credit cards within the next business day. Others paid through checks will be shipped as soon as payment is received. 2. Pre-release orders or backorder items are shipped as soon as the product is released or when the item is restocked. Other than rare occasions all items that are processed online are in stock. if items are out of stock either it will either not display in our website or during processing you will be prevented from ordering that item.
DELIVERY CONFIRMATION/TRACKING & INSURANCE
All our shipments to US customers have delivery confirmation or tracking number. As soon as the product is shipped you should receive an email with this delivery confirmation/tracking number. If needed you can go to USPS.com, Fedex.com, or UPS.com to check the status of your shipment. We do not insure our shipments unless requested to retail customers and cannot guarantee the delivery time or contents of USPS, FedEx or UPS
MEDIA MAIL
Media mail is the least expensive way to ship books and tapes but it takes much longer than USPS priority mail, Fedex, or UPS.. Even though often you may receive a media mail shipment within a week from shipping date, it may take as long as a month or more for you to receive some media mail shipment especially if you live in the West Coast. If you order via media mail please be prepared for delay. Media Mail is for mailing only books and tapes—do not use it when ordering other products.
SHIPPING OF HIJABS AND HIJAB ACCESSORIES
All items in the Hijab category are shipped seperately from California. Currently, the USPS is the only shipping method available for Hijabs. First Class Mail is the default method for the Hijab portion of Orders containing Hijabs and non-hijab items(you can still choose the shipping method for non-hijab items). If you would like to expedite your Hijab order, you can place 2 seperate orders for hijabs, and non-hijab items, and then select priority mail as the shipping method for your hijab order. This notice does not apply to international orders
SHIPMENT VIA BEST WAY
We occasionally will change the shipping methods that you selected during shipment to get the shipment to you quicker. For instance for US shipment media mail can actually be shipped via priority mail or FedEx Ground and for shipments to Canada FedEx Ground may be shipped via USPS Global Priority. If you do not want us to change the method of shipment please indicate that during your order. If you are placing a large orders we recommend using FedEx Ground. This is usually the most economical and reliable vs. USPS Media mail.
SHIPPING POLICIES
Out of stock items are normally mentioned during the check out process. However, if you have ordered an item(s) that we discover to be out of stock, you will be notified by email after we receive your order, and we will order the item(s) for you from the publisher at no additional cost. We do our best to ship all complete orders within 24 to 48 hours of receiving them. For orders with back-ordered items, we will make partial shipments based on the number of items on hand, estimated back-order time for missing items, etc. If you definitely do not want partial shipments but prefer to wait until the order is complete, please make a note in the Notes field of the order form. The total shipping charge for your order will remain the same whether we ship in single or multiple shipments. The only case in which this will not be true is if you make a special request to have items shipped as they are available. In this case, there may be a surcharge of $2.00 for each shipment on top of the normal shipping charges. Al-Rashad is not responsible for items that are not received when shipped through USPS.
ACTUAL COST OF SHIPMENT
The shipment cost during the order processing is approximate based on weight. We do not charge additional amount over list price of the books for handling. The weigh of packaging varies and therefore the actual shipping charge may be slightly higher or lower than what you paid.
SHIPPING CHARGES to THE USA
Packing & Shipping charges for each item are calculated based on the weight of the item, and will be displayed when you get to the checkout page. Shipping times to most domestic U.S. addresses will be between 2-8 business days (depending on the method selected) and nature of order. We cannot guarantee delivery times unless you select guaranteed services like 2nd Day or Next Day Air.
SHIPPING CHARGES TO CANADA
Shipping charges for each item are calculated based on the weight of the item, and will be displayed when you get to the checkout page. Shipments to Canada are made by USPS Air Mail, UPS, or FedEx and typically take approximately 4-14 days for delivery. (We cannot guarantee delivery times.) The shipping charges that you pay to Al-Rashad Books at the time of your order do not include any duties or taxes that may be incurred once the package reaches Canada.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES (outside the U.S. and CANADA)
Shipping charges for each item are calculated based on the weight of the item, and will be displayed when you get to the checkout page. International shipments are made by the methods listed at checkout and delivery times vary based on the destination of the package.
RETURNS
However, if an item reaches you in damaged condition, you may return it for a replacement. In this case we will reimburse you for any return shipping charges. Other than damaged items, we do not accept any returns. If you would like to return a damaged item please contact us at [email protected] to receive authorization. Please note that items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.
MISTAKE IN PLACING ORDER
Please send an email to [email protected] clearly indicating what the error in your order was and what you would like it changed to. As long as the shipment has not already been filled, we will be able to correct the mistake.
