Possibly Swiss or Russian Pewter Octagonal Prisemkann Wine Decanter. 20th Century version of 18th Century pewter wine cooler.
14" Height x 7 1/4" Diameter Weighs 5 lbs, 8 oz. Each of the eight sides features wriggle work decorations. Depicts birds among floral and leafy vines. The raised monogram on one side depicts an eagle and what appears to be a heavily pommeled sword.
Below the monogram are depicted banners and collection of fruit or vegetables.
On the bottom is a stamped mark depicting a dancing female and the letters "E Sch".
There is a paper sticker that reads: "Bremer Werkschau Böttcherstraße"
There is a modern sticker that reads "Warning Operation Invisible; Traceable by Chemical Agents." DS #3931-25 There are two very shallow very innocuous dents on two sides. There is one minute dent on the edge at the bottom (see photos) as well as two or three very shallow dents underneath the bottom.
Otherwise the decanter is in Excellent Condition with no cracks or repairs.
