The center panels are copper with silver and gold embellishment. Included are:

Label reads: "The Art of Chokin, The images are created by etching pure copper and then gilding it with silver and gold. The engravings were originally created to decorate the armament of the Samurai warriors. This art form was handed down for over eight hundred years. 24K Gold Edged; Made in Japan." FYI: Older mouth-blown or even molded glass often has imperfections such as bubbles, straw marks, or small firing fractures. These do not detract from the beauty or structural integrity of the piece.
