This is old 100 % authentic Heavy Sad Iron Charcoal 1850`s.VERY VERY RARE!!! With big chimney and very interesting original wooden handle.In excelllent condition,judge for yourself in the photos.
The small wooden handle on the latch is missing, but can be restored easily!
There is а metal protector which protect from heat the human hand,under the handle.Also the chimney can be turned left and right, depending which hand is used - left or right , and in that way preserve the hand from the steam!The chimney have a hole in the form of Triangle, I guess it`s the manufacturer Logo.
Inside the sad iron have charcoal grill (see photos).On the back there is a very interesting vent, which control air.
Measures: Length - 30 cm, Height - 25 cm, Width - 10 cm.Weight - 7 kg.
It will fit excellent for residential interior or good addition to any collection.
